Aliathon Holiday Village – Kathryn & Dale

Kathryn & Dale from Swansea, married at Aliathon Holiday Village, Paphos on 11th April 2018, follow their romantic journey below.

After looking for a Cyprus Wedding Photographer, Kathryn & Dale happily chose Lee Stuart Photography to cover their special day – here is Kathryn’s story:

We really wanted a laid back wedding and so chose Cyprus as the perfect wedding venue. I loved the idea of keeping it simple with close family & friends around us. We chose the Aliathon Holiday Village as it was an amazing place to stay for the kids. After joining the ‘Weddings at the Aliathon’ Facebook page I fell in love with the Village Square & chose it for our wedding venue.

So how did we get to this point in our lives…we met almost 6 years ago but it took us a while to properly get ‘together’. It took a significant life event for me to realise ‘life is too short’ and soon after we found out we were expecting our first child together in March 2015.

Knowing how amazing Dale is as a step father to my little boy I knew he would be an amazing dad! And so on Christmas Eve 2015, 5 days overdue with our little girl he proposed! It wasn’t extravagant, he didn’t use fireworks or fancy restaurants but it was so sweet & very special. A memory I will cherish forever! Another week or so later & we welcomed our daughter into the world. On maternity leave I began to plan our wedding for 2018.

Groom & groomsmen wore blue trousers & white shirts. Bridesmaids wore 3 quarter, off the shoulder, silver dresses with blue & grey flowers. Our beautiful flower girls wore simple cream dresses & our handsome page boy wore baby blue shorts & a white shirt. As for me, I wore a high neck wedding dress with a lace back & French tulle skirt keeping the jewellery simple.

As I mentioned we wanted a very laid back & simple wedding. We married at The Village Square, Aliathon on Wednesday 11th April 2018.

I chose a beautiful bouquet, which included roses, lysianthus & eucalyptus. The bridesmaids carried smaller versions & the little ones carried signs ‘clear the aisle here comes my auntie’, ‘don’t worry ladies I’m still single’ & ‘daddy here comes mummy’.

After the perfect ceremony at The Village Square we made our way to the Aphrodite Gardens for a cocktail reception before returning to The Village Square for our evening reception. After our meal we danced our first dance to Oasis – Wonderwall & danced the night away with our family & friends. A few tequilas helped get the party started!

We had the most amazing day! Everything was perfect and our amazing photographers captured our day better than we could ever expect! I still can’t stop looking at our photos. We fell in love with Cyprus, it will always be very special to us! We will be returning one day. As for now married life is perfect! The future…we will be adding to our family as we’re expecting another baby in February 2019. Life is good albeit a bit crazy!!
