Nissi Beach Resort – Niki & Brad

Niki, 26 a Business Development Manager, & Brad Hunter, 27 a Heating Engineer, married at the Nissi Beach Resort on the 5th May 2017.

Our Wedding theme was simple & glamorous, we chose Grey, Silver & White for our colours.

It definitely isn’t a traditional love story or what they call “love at first sight”. Brad and I met at a mutual friend’s birthday party and [we] did not get off to a great start, we spent the first few hours of knowing each other arguing and insulting each other (our way of flirting). However once the alcohol started flowing we eventually warmed up to each other. 4 years later we’re now married and soon we will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary.

The run up to the wedding was great, we had a year and 3 months to plan and it went by way too fast. Like most men (I think) Brad left me to all the planning and decision making. The only thing he had to do was [to] turn up looking handsome. We were lucky enough to fly to Cyprus twice before the wedding to pick the venue meet with our wedding planners (Save the date) and the rest of the wedding team.

It was the most romantic proposal, I couldn’t have wished for anything better. We were in Cyprus on holiday, Brad had arranged a surprise evening out for us. He hired a Limo which took us to Larnaca harbour, we then went on a private yacht which sailed for a few hours for dinner and drinks then as the sun was setting he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I couldn’t have planned it better myself and only god knows how he kept it all from me.

My engagement is was a 1.65 solitaire diamond with 6 claws and plain white gold band.

My Dress was a lace fitted mermaid style dress with a low open back and a 3 meter train, I wore a Diamond bracelet & earrings, a veil and Diamond & Pearl headpiece.

The Bridesmaid each wore grey long flowing open back dresses with diamante straps. My Maid of Honour wore a silk silver long crisscross back dress and my flower girl a white ballerina dresses with a flower.

Our Best Man wore a three piece light grey suit with a white shirt and silver tie, the Grooomsmen wore light grey two piece suite with a white shirt and silver tie, and our paige boy wore grey shorts with white shirt, silver bow tie and braces.

Our entire wedding was held at Nissi Beach Resort in Ayia Napa. We had a civil ceremony along with a beautiful reading/prayer from a family friend overlooking the beach. I walked down Aisle to the instrumental of “A thousand years” by Christina Perri.

Our drinks reception was in the Rondavel Beach venue, whilst we took our photos our guests enjoyed some champagne and punch overlooking the beach and watching the sun set. We decided to have our dinner reception held in the Taverna Nissi. We had silver chiavari chairs, two big silver chandeliers over the dance floor, fairy light back drop behind the head table, big wooden LOVE sign with candles around it. We viewed 5 venues however we felt Nissi Beach had the best views and grounds for our wedding.

Our Wedding Cake was a three tier chocolate cake with ivory butter icing with flowers spread around the cake and the cake topper was a diamante Mr& Mrs.

For our wedding favours, we chose shot glasses with our names and date of the wedding printed on one side and on the other [it read] “take a shot we tied the knot”. We then put almond sweets in the shot glasses.

Its really hard to pick one moment as the best part of the day however, I did love walking down the aisle and seeing Brad for the first time that day.

Nikki & Brad received their images and replied with the following lovely feedback:

“oh wow we LOVEEEE them, thank you so much! Brad spent last night watching a slide show of the photos on our big TV which was just amazing. You guys captured some real great moments!”
“Two extremely talented photographers who captured such beautiful moments during our wedding. Both very professional and understanding of what the Bride & Groom want. They know ever romantic spot across beautiful Cyprus to take such stunning photos. Highly recommend! Thanks for everything guys”
Congratulations once again to you both, and our very best wishes for the future
