Sunrise Beach Hotel – Caley & Liam

Caley, 28 and an Administrator & Liam, 30 and a Mechanic by trade, were married at Sunrise Beach Hotel in Protaras on 12th June 2019, Lee Stuart Photography were honored to be chosen to share their special day, here is their story:

The run up, in the early days, how did you meet and how long have you been a couple:

We have been together for 12 years since I was 16 and Liam 18, after meeting doing the usual Kids stuff of hanging about…we have grown up together and shared so many amazing memories from our very first house to welcoming our girls into the world and becoming a real family.  I couldn’t imagine my life without him.

Who proposed to who and where, was it a surprise?

Liam proposed on the 12/06/2017 (2 years to the day we were married) at the Crystalla Hotel in Cyprus, Protaras.  It was a complete surprise as Liam had always said he never wanted to get married.  He proposed on the balcony of our hotel room.  I then proceeded to cry for the next 15 minutes out of overwhelming excitement and shock that this was actually going to happen.

Describe your dress:

My dress was Dalgo by Pronovias it had a lace v neck scalloped bodice with a soft tulle skirt, it was the very first dress in the very first shop and I fell in love.

What did the groom wear?

Liam wore a waistcoat, short sleeve shirt and shorts all hand-made by Each to Their Own in Brinsworth.

The Wedding Venue, How and why did you choose it?

We chose the venue due to the beautiful views and the locations of the ceremony and reception areas – it was breath-taking and looked amazing with the decorations provided by Emperatriz Weddings.  It was the perfect place to fit with our family’s needs and all the little extras provided by the hotel made it a day and holiday to remember, we felt like royalty.

Describe your cake:

Our cake was a simple lemon sponge cake, decorated in lemon to match our colour scheme on top was a bride and groom skull cake topper, all our family have a love for sugar skulls so this brought a little bit of us all into the day.

What was your first dance?

Ed Sheeran – Perfect

Overall what was the best part of the day and why? Did anything not go according to plan on the day?

How can I even begin to explain what the best part of the day was, from the run up to the actual day it was everything I had always dreamed of and more.  Everything was so perfect and stress free (apart from my worries over the weather forecast of course).  The day passed in such an amazing blur and I can re-live these moments everyday when I look at our beautiful pictures which captured the wedding perfectly.

Moments we had at our wedding abroad are not something you would get from a UK wedding, from shout outs from an Ayia Napa boat trip at Cape Greco to all the men (including our waiter) running in the sea as the last dance played at the wedding.  Even now thinking of the day gives me goose bumps.  As Liam said, our wedding was the best day of our lives as we had our girls by our side to share every moment.

Caley & Liam were an absolute pleasure to work with, their love for each other and their children was in abundance and they really had the most amazing day, surrounded by family & friends.  Thank you for choosing Lee Stuart Photography to capture your everlasting memories and congratulations once again, our heartfelt best wishes for the future.
